"The Times Digital Archive" comprise of scanned images of each page/section of The Times, and the search engine produced many citations of
"Rudd/Rud Hall" and "East Appleton". The Rudd Hall estate - including East Appleton Farm (now referred to as Rudd Hall Farm) - was owned by the Duke of Leeds for many years, and this is confirmed in several issues of The Times.
