The "Thomas 1856" Tree The "Thomas 1856" Tree Thomas was a descendant of John (1630-1701?) and Edward (1734-1802). Born in Tunstall (near Catterick), N.Yorkshire, he emigrated to Australia in 1884 where he became a successful businessman. It is understood that his sister migrated with Thomas, and if anyone has details of the ship they sailed on I would be grateful if they could let me know.
