Sorry about this but it's a sign of the times! All the information and links in these pages are strictly without any warranty.
Our cards will not prevent accidents, nor permit you to take risks and although Compass Companion has tried to include the best information in their products and these pages it cannot be held responsible for ANY use, misuse, omissions or errors and will not accept ANY responsibility under ANY situation either by the use of these pages or by any of our products.

EVERY outdoor activity carries some risk and its up to every individual to take reasonable precautions before venturing outdoors and therefore our cards are only to be used as a guideline in the event of an accident. They do not take the place of qualified training which we always recommend before taking part in outdoor pursuits, nor do they replace qualified medical attention in the event of an accident. Seek appropriate training and guidance where appropriate.
Remember all outdoor pursuits can be dangerous, therefore it all depends on the situation, time of year, weather, equipment carried, your fitness level. You may be proficient in all outdoor emergency situations but always consider the possibility of yourself having an accident - others with you may be at risk if their knowledge is limited and your safety will depend on them!
Remember you may have to spend a night outdoors in bad conditions or if you suffer an accident - be prepared! The Rescue Service can only help you if you help yourself!
Always let someone know your intended route (and escape route) and expected return time and don't forget to notify them on your safe return. Never be afraid to turn back if conditions turn bad - there is always another day!
You are responsible for your own safety (and possibly for others with you), so please take care outdoors.
