GISBURN HARE AND HOUNDS 24th July 2005

One hundred and forty riders turned out to tackle the sweeping, flowing course set in the Ribble valley. The course was carefully planned to provide a good days riding for all classes.

Andrew Hackett on a 450 Husqvarna, led the Experts on the opening laps. But Dave Wright (above) who started 5 mins after the experts eventually proved to be the winner by 2 seconds, followed by Andrew Hackett, with Jason Turner screaming the little RAS Sport TM 125 to 3rd place.

In the Clubman class, early leader Jez Bailey crashed damaging his chain, which led to his early retirement his luck must change soon! Chris Whitfield went on to win the class followed by a minute from Scarborough’s Rich Milner. 3rd place was given to Ian Shannon who was 3 mins behind Rich Milner.

The Over 40’s class was won by Robert Butler, who would have also won the Clubman class by 55 secs. In 2nd came Mick Kendall followed by Chris Woodward for third place.
