Tansley Players is Tansley Village's amateur theatre group. It was founded over 20 years ago by a few residents linked by an interest in performing plays, pantomimes and variety shows. Initially membership of the group was restricted to anyone aged 10 or over and who actually lived in the parish. It is now open to anyone who either lives in or has strong connections with the village. |

| Youngsters are encouraged to participate as often as possible. Performing on stage to an audience develops confidence. Here is the full cast in the finale of 'Little Red Riding Hood', an ending typical of the many pantomimes written especially for Tansley Players by Joyce Leaney. (Photo: John Oates) |

| Here are a few more pictures of youngsters performing in recent pantomimes. Children from the audience also come on stage to join in the "end of story" sing-song.
