Venue Facilities

Performances by Tansley Players take place in the Village Hall, which is in Church Street (DE4 5FH). The stage is quite small, providing an acting area of only 14' square. There is some excellent lighting equipment. The stage managers sometimes ingeniously extend the stage either at the front or the side, thus the Players have been able to successfully tackle ambitious full length 'musicals' such as 'Sound of Music' or 'My Fair Lady', and other productions which require larger acting areas and more opulent set design.

The Players use the whole of the Village Hall during rehearsals and performances.  There is a large kitchen area suitable for additional off-stage rehearsals or as a dressing room.  A separate bar area is available to cater for pre-performance or interval refreshment.
