DECCA 121 PROJECTION TV

DECCA 121 PROJECTION TV (1950)

The DECCA 121 is one of a small number of projection sets that were around in the early fifties. At the time it was not possible to buy sets with screens larger than 16" in the UK. This projection set gives a picture equivalent to 18".

The set works by using a 2.5" tube driven by 25KV. The pictures from the tube are magnified by a complicated system of lenses and mirrors. The results were never very good!

This set is currently being overhauled following the failure of the EHT transformer.
