BEAU DECCA 12" TV & RADIO

BEAU DECCA 12" TV & Radio (1948)

The BEAU DECCA is one of only two models of post war mirror lid television sets; the other being the ECKO TSC48. The BEAU DECCA is much rarer than the TSC48, in fact only five are known to have survived.

This set is based on the BEAU DECCA radiogram, infact this set had been turned into a radiogram! The TV chassis was missing and a BSR Monarch record deck had been fitted where the tube used to be. The mirror in the lid was the clue to the set's past. These sets used the Plessey chassis. A vision chassis and PSU were obtained from a scrap DEFIENT TV, the tube mounting gantry was re-made as well as a new top deck.

The new top deck.
