'It's something I've always done!' says Maddy while she puts the finishing touches to 'Barney & Charlie', a wedding present portrait commissioned recently, 'Animals are so much easier to draw than people and they don't whine if their ears look bigger or their nose is too glossy!'
Maddy and Brian were recently married and together they are truly a creative team. The picture shown of Barney & Charlie was actually composited from different photographs.
Using the latest computer technology, scanning of different pictures can achieve a collective group image not possible in one sitting (the portrait left was montaged from different pictures) enabling Maddy to render in wonderful pencil & wash.
