Freedom of Information Act 2000; Section 20
This Act requires all Councils to adopt a Scheme to notify members of the public how they can obtain information about the Council.
At its meeting in November 2008, The Parish Council agreed the adoption of the Model Scheme provided by the Information Commissioner for its documents (minutes of meetings, financial reports, policies, standing orders etc). Some of these documents are already available on the notice board at 'Letchmere' or on this web-page, but all are available by contacting the Clerk as below, at any reasonable time. The information will be supplied within 20 working days, or the Council will tell you why it is unable to supply the information. If you wish to have printed copies of documents these will be available at a maximum charge of 10p per black and white A4 sheet (the actual cost of making the copies), plus the actual cost of postage, if required.
Please contact the Clerk to North Lopham Parish Council, Mike Cox, at Linden House, 65 The Street, North Lopham IP22 2LU, or by phoning 01379 688355.
Meetings are held in the Methodist Chapel Schoolroom (at the rear of the Chapel) usually starting at 7.30pm, on the Second Wednesday of alternate months (January, March, May, July, September, November).
Meetings planned for 2009/10 are (all Wednesdays): 13th January 2010, 10th March 2010, 12th May 2010 (Parish Council AGM, immediately following the Annual Parish Open Meeting, which will start at 7.00 pm)-
Members of the public are encouraged to attend meetings. Although those who are not Council Members cannot make an official contribution to the meeting, or vote on resolutions, every effort will be made to give them the chance to 'have their say'. On rare occasions it may be necessary to ask non-members to leave the meeting when particular items are being discussed.
