ORLA ORGAN OWNERS
Dates for Tuesday mornings:
May: 27th
June: 3rd : 10th : 17th : 24th
I have prepared several Notes for the benefit of ORLA organ owners, particularly those that feel they are not very happy working from the ORLA Manual. These have proven successful among the 'local' ORLA owners and have been used extensively, with great success. Since the sad closing of our organ side of the Society, I have now been requested to advertise these Notes on the Internet, so that others may benefit from the information.
The Notes are still being expanded, as those attending the special Tuesday morning sessions at my house have requested more information and have also been able to contribute to the additional material. None of us profess to be professional musicians, simply 'home' users and therefore a need for less technical material seems to be appreciated in a step by step approach.
The structure of each of the Notes is similar, a title indicating what primarily is to be covered. The content then covers a procedure to achieve the title, with many photographs and sometimes diagrams and most importantly, a series of PRACTICAL exercises to fully understand the procedure. They have been written specifically for the GT5000 series but are also adequate for GT3000, GT8000 and GT9000.
It is not the purpose to put all the Notes onto the Internet, but to put the Index here, so that you may see what is available and hence what Notes may be of direct use. These can then be either emailed or posted to those of you that may be interested. As with our Society, a small charge was made to cover preparation and/or printing - this is not required if you want one emailed, but some are up to sixteen pages (A4) long. In the case of posting, however, assistance with postage would be appreciated. The Notes have been prepared in a reasonably logical order, each one generally following on from the previous one, so that the reader gains knowledge gradually. They are not intended to teach you how to play the organ, but how to get at some of the more interesting features to enhance playing.
