1997
Obtained
Licentiate of the Royal Photographic Society having studied at Runshaw
College ( in Leyland, England ) for three years during which time
I submitted portfolios covering Landscapes of the American West
and Hawaii, and a cross section of Portrait photography. My final
portfolio concerned the "Art of Colour Photography" giving me a
total of four distinctions and a credit, enabling me to receive
the L.R.P.S.
1999
/ 2001
Very
much immersed in the digital side of photography and, following
the creation of Brian Taylor Photographics, I compiled a portfolio
of digital prints covering the Landscapes of Spain & Portugal. I
am also keen to develop my Website to include as many of my photographs
as possible and introduce new categories in due course. This I believe
is one of the outstanding resources of the Internet, with everyone
capable of uploading something of interest to the millions of surfers
on the World Wide Web, and I intend to maintain the site well into
the new millennium.
2002
/ 2009
In
late 2004 I suffered a stroke so I do not now update my photo files
as often as I would like.
As
a side-line I am also writing a novel (a psychological thriller)
which I hope to complete sometime during 2009/10 and will then
tout it to some publishers.
Beforehand
however I thought it would be a worthwhile exercise to give visitors
to my site the opportunity to download the first chapter
in order that
I may obtain feedback (good or bad).
There
is a choice of two files to download the first chapter
of my book. The first one is a .doc file and is for displaying
and printing in Microsoft Word. The second is a plain
.txt file and is for use in any other type of Word Processor,
although all the formatting in Word will be lost. It is
therefore recommended that you download the .doc file
if at all possible.
Both
files have been zipped (.zip) and will require WinZip
or equivalent to open and extract them to the Word Processor
of your choice.
Please
