The Martial Art of the Soul

All human struggle can ultimately be traced to the noble determination of the Soul of humanity to demonstrate the inherent Love, Wisdom and Power of the one Spiritual Source of all existence.

The external martial arts have long been a form of organised human activity giving expression to the spiritual longing which is inherent in our capacity for aggression, conflict and war. They have testified to our need to attempt to redeem our consciousness through cultivation of the subtler and nobler energies - called "ch'i" - which circulate through all nature, including our own.

But behind the external practices and the many schools of martial art there has always been one, inner school known simply as the Academy of The Martial Art (ATMA). The activity of this Academy - sometimes called the Academy of the Solar Doh - has hitherto been largely oriented away from the human kingdom as its students have long been engaged in preparation for the great struggle of the right transmission of the Solar Ki into Humanity. Nevertheless, it is from this Academy that the various founders of the major external systems of martial art have either emerged or drawn their inspiration over the ages, and it is from this Academy that the science of the Seven Rays of Ch'i will guide the training of the martial artists of the new era.

Due in large measure to the inspirational and continuing influence of the sixth century Zen Master, Bodhidharma, students of the external martial arts are universally introduced to and have widely acknowledged the underlying spiritual goal of true training in their self-chosen study of the wielding of ch'i or ki. In the dawning new era martial artists from all cultures will begin to respond in increasing numbers to the deeper levels of Ch'i being released into the human kingdom from the two higher planetary centres: the spiritual Hierarchy, and Shamballa.

This page is dedicated to all who study and teach one or other form of the many external martial arts, and who are ready to stand as related points of living service in the great brotherhood of Solar Martial Artists who together constitute the one, inner Academy of the Solar Doh.
