The Cheltenham Wargaming Association meets every Monday evening (except for Bank Holiday Mondays) in the Sir Charles Irving Room of the St. Mark's & Hester's Way Community Centre between 7pm. and 10pm. The venue is at the top of Brooklyn Road in the west of Cheltenham (not far from Coronation Square) post code GL51 8DS. The facilities are excellent and include a large secure storage space where we keep a comprehensive collection of high quality terrain (buildings, hills, woods etc. for every scale). Members are able to use the Community Association's bar.al inter-club games. The CWA's organisation is, like most clubs, run by a small, dedicated, dictatorial committee. The Annual General Meeting, held every September, elects members to this committee and also decides on spending for the coming year. Club members are encouraged to put in requests for any wargaming items they would like the club to purchase. The annual membership fee is payable in January. There is no weekly fee, though prospective new members who have yet to pay their subscription and all occasional guests are charged a nominal sum after an initial free visit.
All periods and types of wargames, except for board games, are catered for. In fact we are 'game’ for anything. The maps below show the location of the Community Centre and the meeting room within the Centre.
