The action takes place in a small village in Ireland.

 
Brendan trained at the Focus Studio in Dublin and on scholarship to Mountview Theatre School, London. He has toured Eire with Trapdoor, Europe with Leeds Laughing Stock and Britain playing Owen in Metro's acclaimed Ragged Trousered Philanthropists, directed by Stephen Daldrey. In London, Brendan has played Roche in Ron Hitchinson's Rat in the Skull (Grove), in the premiere of Doug Lucie's Farce and Hypocrisy (Young Vic) and the premiere of Odon Von Horvath's Judgment Day (Old Red Lion), also directed by Stephen Daldrey and winner of the Charrington Awards Best Production. Brendan has appeared with the Lyric Players, Belfast for the last two season taking leading roles Christy Mahon in the Lyric's acclaimed revival of Playboy of the Western World and Michael Quinn in Joe Tomelty's All Souls Night, directed by Roma Tomelty. Other roles with the Lyric include mob leader in Sam Thompson's Over the Bridge and he was recently seen in the Lyric's premiere of Ron Hutchinson's Pygmies in the Ruins at the Royal Court. Film and TV includes Full Wax (BBC), He Plays (Channel 4), London Calling (RTE), Fool's Gold (LWT) and the new Les Blair film Bad Behaviour.
