This
web site is dedicated to Brixworth village, Northamptonshire and all local
areas.
Brixworth
is ideally placed for the motorway network being 15 miles from junction 18 on
the M1. Birmingham is 1 hour away and,
with it, access to the M5 for the South West.
The A14 is the major trunk road to the east making the ferry port,
Harwich, easily accessible. There is a
railway station at Northampton with a direct service to London Euston taking
approximately 1 hour, a direct bus service to Northampton in the south and
Market Harborough to the north and you can also travel further afield, using
National Express from the village, going as far as Newcastle and Oxford!!
The
village is situated in extremely attractive countryside close to the A508 which
bypasses it. It is an immensely popular
village with a good community spirit having a multitude of organisations and
on-going activities.

Community Transport group are looking for drivers from the area to take people,
who otherwise struggle, to their medical appointments.
Volunteer Drivers
using their own cars get 40p a mile to offset their motoring costs, but more
importantly they get the reward of helping someone in their local community.
