ARE YOU LOOKING FOR SOMETHING DIFFERENT TO DO?

 

YES??

 

THEN EXPLORERS CLUB COULD BE JUST FOR YOU!!!

 

WE MEET ONE AFTERNOON A MONTH IN BRIXWORTH, MAKE NEW FRIENDS AND, MOST IMPORTANTLY, DO DIFFERENT THINGS THAN AT SCHOOL AND HAVE FUN!!!

SOME OF THE ACTIVITIES WE’VE DONE INCLUDE:

MAKING THE LONGEST MARBLE RUN, NUMEROUS SCIENCE EXPERIMENTS INCLUDING MAKING HELICOPTERS, BUILDING WITH STRAWS, CHESS CHALLENGE, LOOKING AT WEATHER, ACTING IN PLAYS AND MANY, MANY MORE!!!

 

COME AND JOIN US!

 

OUR PLANNED FUTURE EVENTS ARE:

 

October 13th                             Halloween Party – featuring Fancy Dress, Apple Bobbing, Creepy Games, Scary Boxes, Face Painting, and maybe more…

 

                                           Please bring (terrifying of disgusting, yet edible) food to share.

 

November 10th                           Yoga with Nerissa Fields

                                           Followed by “Who wants to be a millionaire?”

 

December 8th                            The Christmas Party

 

January 12th                             Proposed trip to The Think Tank in Birmingham – details to follow

 

February 9th                             Construction and science activities

Explorers also run a book club where a child selects a book a month and then the children discuss it the following month.

THE PARENTS DON’T GET LEFT OUT EITHER BECAUSE THEY GET TO HAVE COFFEE, TALK TO EACH OTHER, HELP WITH STIMULATING THE CHILDREN AND SOMETIMES HAVE OUTSIDE SPEAKERS THAT MAKE THEM THINK!!

 

EXPLORERS CLUB IS PART OF THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF GIFTED CHILDREN AND IS AIMED AT BRIGHT CHILDREN NOT NECESSARILY GIFTED.
