From the South:
Leave the M6 at Junction 36 onto the A591. Follow signs for Kendal, Windermere and Ambleside. Upon reaching Ambleside, drive through the village continuing on the A591 as though heading for Rydal and Grasmere. At the mini- roundabout just past the Bridge House, turn RIGHT up the Kirkstone Road. Continue for half a mile and take the first turning on the RIGHT after the phone box, (which you will pass in a lay-by on your left). Turn almost immediately LEFT. There is parking for one vehicle immediately in front of the cottage.

From the North:
Leave the M6 at Junction 40, onto the A66 following signs for Keswick. Then take the A591 to Ambleside. When you arrive at the mini-roundabout, turn LEFT and follow as above.
