Rosalyn was born in London in 1958. She was much
in demand as a child actress, appearing with Christpher Lee
and Paul Eddington in THE DEVIL RIDES OUT,
and with Susannah York and George C.Scott in JAYNE EYRE
at age ten. At fourteen she played the part of Sara in THE
AMAZING Mr BLUNDEN, with Laurence Naismith - which was
Lionel Jeffrie's follow-up to The Railway Children. In the same
year, Ros worked with Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton in
a two part play by John Hopkins called DIVORCE HIS/DIVORCE
HERS. Rosalyn spent two years at the Royal Ballet School
and resumed normal education at Tolworth Girls School, where
she studied up to A level. "Having left school at ninteen
with little prospect of acting work, I decided to learn
the retail trade. My first job was with Royal Coprnhagen Porcelain
in Bond Street, then later with Libertys in Regent
Street" she recalls. With her mind firmly made up to
make a career in acting, Rosalyn was soon offered a wide variety
of parts in television, the first major role being the lead
in an ITV PLAYHOUSE. Other television parts include
Lady Polly Hampton in LOVE IN A COLD CLIMATE, Fiona
Allways in RUMPOLE OF THE BAILEY and Wendy De Souza
in OXBRIDGE BLUES. In 1987, Ros made her West End debut
as Sorel in Noel Coward's HAY FEVER, with Penelope
Keith at the Queen's Theatre, London. She went to America in
the late '80'sto appear in STAR TREK:THE NEXT GENERATION
(series two, episode: UP THE LONG LADDER), where I
believe she still resides, having previously lived in Surrey.
