Born on 22nd December 1958, Tracy was brought
up with her sister, Rachel, on their father's estate in Oxfordshire.
"It was a comfortable childhood, though I was really
brought up by a nanny. My parents lived in London and I saw
them about twice a month when they came down to the
country". Tracy gained seven "O" and three
"A" level exams at school, before going to Paris modelling.
She then attended English Art College. At sixteen she posed
nude for some photographs, just weeks after leaving school.
She then became an art dealer at Christies Art Gallery and at
Art Galleries in New York, having worked her way up from being
a secretary. Tracy went to ALRA Drama school in London and also
the London Drama Studio. In order to get her equity card, Tracy
performed a sexy cabaret act around London pubs, which involved
strutting across the stage as a naughty schoolgirl, stripping
off a black camisole, black suspender belt, fishnet stockings
and stiletto heels. She then did various plays in England. Small
TV and film roles followed including DANCE WITH A STRANGER,
MUSELLINI, DOCTOR WHO, CLUEDO and
of course not forgetting C.A.T.S.EYES. In 1987, having
done two series of C.A.T.S.EYES, Tracy married Harry
Worcester, the Marquis of Worcester, making her the
Marchioness of Worcester. They have three children
together, Bobby was born in 1989, Bella was born in 1992 and
Xan came into the World in 1995. In 1989, Tracy started working
with Friends of the Earth, and is still today campaigning for
the environment and against globalisation. Tracy's current workload
and commitments are as follows: "I am a trustee of Friends
of the Earth, The Gaia Foundation, Transport 2000, Schumacher
Society of Bath Environment centre and associate Director of
the International Society for Ecology and Culture. I am also
President of the Good Gardener's Association and Community Action,
and a member of the International Forum on Globalisation. My
work invoves organising monthly dinners for environmentalists
to meet with ministers, shadow ministers, heads of industry
and the media. I support and take part in debates to promote
local renewal as a means of countering economic globalisation.
I also organise weekends and evenings for NGO's to discuss globalisation
and to establish a common goal to move from global dependence
to local interdependence".
