Videos/DVD

I get numerous requests sent to me,
asking if the series is available to
buy on video or DVD.Unfortunatley C.A.T.S.EYES has never been
released on sell thru video, and it
doesn't look likely to either. I say this
because, I think (and this is only my
personal view) that there is some
confusion as to who actually owns the
rights to the series. MTM, who
owned the series during the nineties,
closed down, and I heard all the
tapes were flown out to America.
It was said that Saban Entertainments (see below) then owned the series, but when I
phoned them, they didn't seem to
know what they owned. And I think
this is the problem, if someone
does fancy releasing the series, who do
they see about getting the rights
to that release.Might I suggest, if you
want to see the series released,
write or e-mail companies such as NETWORK who release quite a lot
of classic TV. If they get enough requests,
I'm sure they'll seriously consider getting the rights.

I have been told that Buena Vista are the the current owners of C.A.T.S.EYES.
The group also owns Disney and many other media producers
