Evenings, Weekends and Holidays

Out-of-hours medical services are provided by Durham and Chester-le-Street Primary Care Trust. They are responsible for doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals who will be available out-of-hours to undertake home visits or consultations at an out-of-hours centre or to give telephone advice. As part of helping you with your out-of-hours call, you will be offered the services of the NHS-Direct advice line. The trained nurses who take your call will be able to offer expert advice, and/or arrange further involvement with a healthcare professional.
