Looking for Trouble

Republic F105 Thunderchief

White smoke raises from the jungle of Viet Nam having been used by a Forward Air Controller (FAC) in his Cessna Bird Dog to "mark" a VC position. Marking the enemy with white target smoke they call on the assistance of any aircraft nearby. Two Wild Weasel Thunderchief aircraft, themselves looking for trouble in the form of radar sites for their Shrike missiles, are happy to oblige. The lead aircraft engages re-heat to expedite the departure from the target as the bombs fall from his wing-man. Production of this painting is the subject of the "Studio" page within this website.
