Steam Driven

A winter evening in 1978, and a split second after release on the steam catapult is the scene for "Steam Driven" depicting a Royal Navy F4k Phantom aircraft of No 892 Sqn Royal Naval Air Service. Keeping their heads down are the launch crew, one of whom has the green flag that started the ball rolling.

This painting was displayed at the 1999 Aviation Painting of the Year Exhibition presented by the Guild of Aviation Artists in London.
