Charles Monkhouse

As an artist who has lived and worked in the Derbyshire Peak District for fifteen years, my practice has moved from exhibiting sculpture in galleries to creating installations in the landscape.

In particular, Derbyshire and Cumbria are integral to my practice. I explore the landscape using lights at night, often on a vast scale.

Partnerships with communities, artists and other professionals have become an important part of my creative process. Their knowledge, skills and values enrich my practice.
