Traidcraft within the Church
There has long been a strong presence of Traidcraft, selling a wide
range of Fairtrade goods - the least of which are tea and coffee -
and of course encouraging their use in everyday life.
Fairtrade guarantees a fair price to farmers and producers, particularly in
poorer parts of the World : protecting them to a large degree from
the undue competitive arena that occurs today under traditional purchasing by
the big firms in this country, and indeed elsewhere.
There is a stall once a month, and a special display of samples and
catalogues is presented each Christmas, with orders taken and promptly
delivered.
