During my turn, when are the captured figures removed from the board. Is it at the end of my turn or as soon as they are surrounded.
A)
Figures are captured the instant they are surrounded (this only matters if you play more than one token during your turn). The rules do imply that captures are taken after all tokens have been placed but that is incorrect.
Q)
During my turn, if I play more than one token, is there an order I have to play them in.
A)
There is no set order in which you have to place the tokens (for example, you do not have to place any tokens with Japanese Characters first). The important fact is that you resolve any action after you place each token. Your turn is over when you refresh your hand back up to five tokens.
Q)
During my turn, if I play more than one token, does it matter in which order I play them.
A)
Since you resolve each action before you place the next token, the order may be important.
Q)
During my turn I have to play at least one token. Can this consist of playing just a single token with a Japanese Character on it.
A)
Yes you may, in most cases it would be a waste to do so but it is legal.
Q)
Does this token have a influence of one (1) or seven (7)?
A)
The font used may look like a seven but the influence on this token is one, none of the tokens have an influence of seven. EXAMPLE : The Ronin token shown has an influence (or strength) of 1.
Q)
If a figure is surrounded by one player only but only with 0 influence -- is the figure considered 'tied' (even though only one player was involved) or captured (even though no player has any influence or strength bearing on the figure)?
A)
The figure is considered 'tied' and is placed beside the board along with any other tied figure. The rules imply that it requires two players for a tie, in this case the player ties with all the other players as everyone has an influence of zero (even if they do not have any tokens present for this particular capture).
Q)
Why is there no influence shown on the Figure Exchange token.
A)
It is not required because this token is never placed on the board. When this token is played, two figures are exchanged and the token discarded (it is recommended that it is placed beside the board so players can see that it has been used).
