The dramatic mountains of Assynt are popular with hillwalkers & mountaineers - the Munros of Conival & Ben More Assynt are located just behind the Lodge - and nearby we have Canisp, Suilven (right), Quinag and Cul Mor to mention just a few. There are also numerous low level & coastal walks that can be enjoyed by those not wishing to climb to the top of the hills.

The long coastline of Assynt comprises steep sandstone cliffs, narrow rocky inlets, and a number of superb white sandy beaches - such as Achmelvich & Clachtoll (left). Out at the Point of Stoer you can walk along the cliff top and admire the Old Man of Stoer sea stack .
