has become one of the most successful restaurant styled pubs for miles
around, having a particularly good fish
menu.
Not the old "local"
it was (formally
"The Chequers"), but well worth a visit if you
want very good food with a good pint.
The
George and Lobster should be considered as being
an eating
place of excellence rather than a pub, with a very good fish menu.
The beer
available is varied and of a good
quality, but it feels slightly awkward to just "pop in"
for a pint, although the staff are always friendly.
