This pub is a "real peach" of a find. It's
Elizabethan origins and fine ales complement one another
to create an ambiance that sooths away daily stress's
until leaving time.
A tastefully integrated
restaurant toward the rear of the premises, away from the bar area, adds
to the overall "class" of this establishment. Eating
area / restaurant at rear with outside
seating next to road. This does appear to be a
friendly, welcoming hostelry which is well worth a visit
for all the right reasons. Cromwell stayed here in
October 1645. Ales
available:- Green
King Abbot Ale, Ruddles, & various lagers and
cider, etc.
