This hedge is made up of a screen of holly up to 40 feet interspersed with 4 multitrunked sycamore of between 60 and 70 feet high.
Up to 30 or 40 feet the hedge wall is mostly made up of the holly. It would seem to us that this should certainly qualify as a predominantly evergreen hedge in the terms of the proposed legislation.
The absolutely incredible thing is that this monster hedge is only 13 feet away from our member's house. The picture is taken from her garden. It is clear from the top of the trees in the picture that it was taken on a sunny day and it is also clear how shaded and dark this garden is.
This hedge is close up and is all the sight I get when looking out of my front window it grows to a height of 10ft so where the roots are pushing to is open to speculation. I have spoken to my nieghbour, but he just ignores everything I say.Deciduous hedges can also be problem hedges
