that explains the background and everything else about
this great episode.
For a show like Buffy the Vampire Slayer it would
be quite easy for the writers to stick with the traditional
formula of "girl meets vampire - girl kills vampire
- girl saves the world".
But no, just when you thought it was safe to walk in
the cemetery, they came up with this idea - a musical
episode ! At first, I thought it was just an Internet
rumour... but it was true and this is the soundtrack
CD that goes with that episode in Season
6.
The songs are all performed by the regular cast and
it actually works really well - although it helps if
you have seen the episode before listening to the CD.
The songs - and the CD cover - have a theatre-and-film-musical
feel to them and there is the added bonus of soundtrack
music from three other episodes - including the award
winning Hush (see Page
7)...
My favourite tracks have to be "If we're together"-
the whole cast, "Rest In peace" - go for it
Spike, "Standing" - by Giles and "Walk
through the Fire" - the Buffster with the rest
of the Scooby Gang.
Can't wait for the theatre show...! Now there's a rumour...
