Buffy - the best other slayer -
Faith
I don't know what it is about Faith. I think it is
the combination of bad girl attitude, dark hair,
dark mascara plus the kick butt action - it gets me
every time !
Where Buffy is, mostly, all good - except for the whole
Spike thing in Season
6 - Faith is always on the edge of being bad, and
really goes over the edge in Season
3. This is a welcome change from the sweetness and
light of the rest of the Scooby gang.
The scripts also give Faith some excellent lines, especially
the catchphrase, five by five - and when Faith returns
again - in Angel
Season 4 - there is a neat inversion when Wesley
says it after he helps Faith escape from prison.
All the Faith episodes are great but I like
Who Are You and This Years Girl
from Season
4 where Buffy and Faith swap bodies. It gives both
characters the chance to see the other side of things.
Faith also appears in Angel
Season 1 (see page 9)
and the episode Five by Five is excellent
- especially the scene where Faith attempts to shoot
Angel...
Shame that Eliza Dushku is not available for, or does
not want to do, a follow-up series. However, she does
return in Season
7 - see page
8 - and in Angel
