Cycling up Glen Bruar makes for the walking a lot easier over Beinn Dearg.

Came across this little dam across Bruar Water, note how this fair sized little river flows in and nothing appears on the other side.

A little further on and Bruar Lodge can be seen ahead , cycled past about a mile before taking the stalkers path up on the way to the Munro.

Detoured onto an adjoining hill Beinn Losgarnaich where I found this unusual cairn - Beinn Dearg in the background.

I really came onto this little hill to get a view of the Munro and here is Beinn Dearg as seen from Beinn Losgarnaich.

Here's the summit cairn of demoted Munro Beinn Gharbh, the Cairnwell hills can be seen in the distance.

Made it! Yet another unusual cairn to finish the day. This marks the top of Beinn Dearg.

Saturday 6th July 2002. This remote Munro was pretty popular today - about a dozen people called by while I was at the cairn, the weather was disappointing again, a little overcast and threatening rain though in fact it managed to stay dry most of the day. Cycling in from the A9 was a big help and made this a relatively easy day.
Thanks for calling by.
John.
