HOME Practical Pet Pages If your bird appears to be unwell, it is worth finding a vet who specializes in birds, though, failing this, get the sick bird to any vet without undue delay. Any sort of local bird keeping club will be able to recommend a suitable vet if you give them a ring. In the UK, you can try your library or local Tourist Information Centre for the bird club contact details you need, as they generally know about all sorts of clubs in your area. The Budgerigar World website lists most budgerigar societies that have a website, worldwide. Alternatively, The Birdcare Company lists a few bird vets for each UK county on the vet page of their website. If your bird is distressed, or you are concerned that his/her life may be in danger, do stress the urgency when booking to see the vet.
