>Recent Gigs<

26 January - Insurrection - Yardley Gobion Club

This was our first gig at this fairly local venue. There were a few in, but we were playing in quite a big hall. The evening went well, but lets hope we get a few more in, in future, as Debbie, who is running the entertainment is keen to make this a regular event.

1 February - CLD - Centrecom

This was an afternoon event, playing to organisers, and service users from 'IMPACT' which is a charity that involves people with mental health issues with sport. We played for an hour and everyone  enjoyed it - I'm pretty sure it's the first time we've had line dancing going on!!

2 February - CLD - The Blue Boar

We were joined by the fabulous Dave Wilkinson for this gig, as Richard was playing a Burns Night Barn Dance. Dave excelled himself, despite stopping out with mates until 7:30 on the morning of the gig hee hee - proper rock and roll!

Had a great night with all the folks enjoying themselves throughout.

9 February - CLD - The Peartree Bridge Hotel

Well - I was surprised we had a pretty good crowd in for this gig with a number of people turning up to see us - so big thanks to the Roman Park Posse - Erica, Harry, Zennie, Kit, and Debbie, also to Kit's mates Mick and Nicky, Graham from the Grebe Jam Nights, and Steve and Tony from The Moles and their mates. A fairly uneventful night apart from Rich's radio system going down, we went down well and walked away happy.

10 February - CLD - The Pitz

Crowds have been declining at this venue - which is a shame, because it's so nice to have free lunchtime bands on a big stage with a big PA. If only people made more use of it. But hey, we bucked the trend and pulled a few in - more than has been normal for the last month or so, which was good considering there was some good footie on the telly. So thanks to Sally and AlexDawn and her camera, Kev, Richard and Ali, all the people who'd come from the previous night's gig - Steve and Tony et al, Dick and Denise, Warren from Silverstone, and anyone else I've forgotten.

I think this was the first time I've ever seen Richard break a string, and it had to go at the beginning of the guitar solo in 'Time'. Hey ho. There was much hilarity when Rock weltered one of his cymbals, and it toppled over and disappeared down the back of the stage - just missing my rig - I missed it all as it went on behind me - lastly a big thanks to Mikey, the sound engineer, who hopefully also recorded it for us - cheers dude!

>Coming Up<

Two of my favourite gigs this weekend for The Curvyz. On Friday we're over at The Avon in Avon Dassett just North of Banbury, then on Saturday we're at The Prince Albert in Bradwell Village. And I've got a lift to both - yeehaw!!

Before I sign off - I'd just like to congratulate my lad Simon for passing his driving test first time - the roads are now officially a more dangerous place!
