A small town located in the North East of England about 100 km south of the Scottish border. Their are two major conurbations in the North East, Tyneside based around Newcastle and Teeside around Middlesborough. Nearby towns are DURHAM DARLINGTON and BARNARD CASTLE
The town is adjacent to the river Wear.
