Year 8 Competition 1998/9

Starts November 98 
Kick Off 3.45pm and 4.45pm at BISHOP AUCKLAND RUGBY UNION FOOTBALL CLUB


Competition Matches
To be carried out after school at the Rugby Club each Wednesday afternoon at 3.45pm and 
4.45pm on the pitch with floodlights.  The two games will be carried out on a full size 
pitch. Starting on November 11th 1998.  The teams will normally be 15-a-side, eight 
forwards and seven backs following the rules of 13-a-side Junior Rugby.  Each match will 
consist of two halfs of 25 mins each with a half time break of up to 5 mins.

If a team of 15 cannot be raised then a minimum of 9 players on each team may be used 
with substitution and reduced pitch size.

	In the event of cancellation due to bad weather etc. the free weeks will be 
used in a manner that no team is allowed to play twice on the same day.

Year 7 Competition 1998/9

Starts April 99 Kick Off 4.00pm at BISHOP AUCKLAND RUGBY UNION FOOTBALL CLUB Competition Matches To be carried out after school at the Rugby Club each Wednesday afternoon at 4.00pm on the pitch. The two games will be carried out on a full size pitch. Starting on November 11th 1998. The teams will normally be 15-a-side, eight forwards and seven backs following the rules of 13-a-side Junior Rugby. Each match will consist of two halfs of 25 mins each with a half time break of up to 5 mins. If a team of 15 cannot be raised then a minimum of 9 players on each team may be used with substitution and reduced pitch size. Date 4.00pm K.O. Two games will be carried out at the same time each using a reduced size pitch 43M by 59M. Starting on April 29th 1999. The teams will normally be 12-a-side, five forwards and seven backs following the rules of 12-a-side Midi Rugby as described in the Refereeing Mini and Midi Rugby Booklet. (Enclosed) Each match will consist of two halfs of 20 mins each with a half time break of up to 5 mins. If a team of 12 cannot be raised then a minimum of 9 players on each team may be used with substitution. Note:- In the event of one school not taking part in the competition, the free weeks will be abandoned and the free team will replace the missing team and the number of weeks will reduce to four and on the final week the lowest scoring two teams will play each other and the highest scoring two teams will play for the Overall winner.
