Brimson, Brinson & Brenson Family History Research.

I have been researching the above names for about 17 years now. I have always been interested in my surname of Brimson, which is very unusual. I got started via heraldry to see if our family had an associated coat of arms.

The picture to the below is me, David Brimson and my wife ,Fiona who is a teacher. I am a dialysis technician at the Churchill Hospital in Oxford, England. This shot was taken on my digital camera a Fuji MX1700. A very useful camera with a zoom too. A bit dated now though it still takes good photos

I have transcribed all the indexes from St Catherine's House, London. This has now moved to Myddleton House which is known as the Family Research Centre. These are all the birth, marriages & deaths from England & Wales for the names of Brimson & Brinson. The Brenson indexes were kindly copied for me by Robert "Bob" Brenson who now lives in the USA but comes from England. I would like to say a big thank you to David & Elaine Fitzgerald who have converted all the birth, death & marriages from England, Wales, Scotland & overseas B, D & M into an Excel spreadsheet. They have Frome Brimson links.

I also have every Brimson, Brinson will from the 1860's to the present date. I also have some older wills from the 18th century.

I have the 1881 census for England & Wales. This is on CD-ROM & is searchable by surname or place, though this is also searchable on the Internet. I also have the 1851 census of Devon which is also on CD-ROM.
