Right: John Maunder Brimson in his 20's . This photo was taken in Nigeria where he worked for the Lagos Stores Company. His brother Fred was also out there with him. John or "Jack" as he was known left Nigeria after his wife died in 1925. |

Maria Mary Brimson at her engagement photo in Cardiff in 1914. It was sent by her son Alfred Reeve. She married Tom Reeve on 29 October 1914 in St Catherine's Church, Canton, Cardiff, Wales This is one of John (Jack) Brimson's older sisters. She died 19 December 1939 and is buried in Cardiff. Left : "Jack" & his sister Bessie in the back garden of his house in Gosford, near Oxford. He died in 1957 & she in 1965. I can remember dad taking me over on his bike to visit Aunt Bess. I do remember the old tread sewing machine that she used & some large photos on the wall which probably were my great grandparents. |
