Search and Rescue Teams

The following contains information about the team members, as in who they are and what they do when they are not playing Coastguard.  I'm sure you are aware that 99% of rescues carried out by the Coastguard are carried out by  volunteers, they all have jobs elsewhere other than the Coastguard, but when the pager goes off they all attend day or night.  We quite often get confused with the RNLI, although we work closely with them, we are completely separate.

The station officer                    Steve Perrett,  works for Auto Quip.
The deputy Station officer    Nick Burns,      works for a local window manufacture.

Eddy Weller         Works for a local camp site
Dave Sanders       Works for the local water board
Gary Bishop         Is self employed in ground maintenance.

                              I wont carry on with the rest of there jobs, but it does give you an idea of the mixture of people
                              in the teams.
