Equipment carried in the Berry Head vehicle

The picture below shows the cliff rescue equipment that Berry Head vehicle carry's in case of "Emergency decent". When one person absails down to a casualty.

1 - 6 x steel stakes to drive into the ground to provide  anchor points.
2 - Quad pod, allows the main rope to run through a pulley block close to the cliff edge which makes recovery of stretchers easier.
3 - Portable winch, petrol winch used mainly for recovering persons over the cliff or recovery of stuck vehicles.
4 - Caribeners, decenders, wire strops and pulley block.
5 - 16 mm rope 300 ft long x 2.
6 - Scots man, used on the cliff edge to provide     protection for the rope against the cliff.
7 - Helmets x 3.
8 - Cliff harness.
9 - Rescue strop.
The green bag is a first aid kit and the blue item next to it is a cliff top safety harness.

1 - Line for the rescue jacket
2 - Crew saver lifejacket for coastal searches.
3 - Lifejacket with internal harness
4 -Torpedo boy to be used with rescue jacket.
5 - Perry throw line.
6 - Rescue Lifejacket to be used should one of us need to go into the water.
