boat race that didn't go to plan
These two boats had managed to get lost in a fog bank
that covered Torbay doing about 70 knots during a race, one boat not shown
was reported to have had struck a oil tanker moored off Torbay, luckily it
was only a glancing blow.
Evacuation of two casualties from a Yacht in Torbay
While on patrol in Torbay Coastguard boat, we were tasked
to Torquay after a report of two persons with head injuries on board a yacht
after being hit by the boom. The crew went on board and administered
first aid until the arrival of Coastguard Helo HL who winched the casualty's
off and transferred them to Hospital.
