Barnsley Versus Rushden & Diamonds

This will be our first ever game against Rushden & Diamonds. Star striker Onandi Lowe has been sidelined for a few weeks, and has been replaced by the veteran striker Paul Kitson, who may start.  Their loss may give us the edge we need to get three points on the board.

Opposing Player to Watch: Paul Hall
Copa Verdict: 2-1 Reds

Barnsley Versus Wycombe

Wycombe have had a poor start to the season, which has led to the sacking of manager Lawrie Sanchez.  They may have a new manager in time for this game, which could give them a lift.  Striker Jermaine McSporran has been out with an injury, but may well be back for this game.  After recent away performances, a draw would be a good result

Opposing Player to Watch: Darren Currie
Copa Verdict: 1-1

Barnsley Versus Peterborough

Peterborough had a poor run in September, leaving them near the bottom of the table.  Barry Fry will no doubt get them fired up for this game, but we can sneak a narrow victory in this one, repeating our win of last season.

Opposing Player to Watch: Leon McKenzie
Copa Verdict: 1-0 Reds

Barnsley Versus Grimsby

Grimsby have had an up and down start to the season, including an amazing 8-1 thrashing at Hartlepool.  They have bounced back since then, with Michael Boulding in good form.  Darren Barnard should be making a re-appearance at Oakwell, so we need to watch out for his free kicks!  A home win for the Reds predicted here.

Opposing Player to Watch: Michael Boulding
Copa Verdict: 2-0 Reds
