1 Andy Marriott
Arrived after a loan spell from Sunderland where he was understudy to Sorenson.  Previously with Nottingham Forest and loan spells with four other clubs before joining Wrexham for £200,000.

21 Paul Gibbs
Former Brentford left-back signed by Steve Parkin towards the end of last season.  Can deliver good crosses from the left flank and is decent at set plays, particularly corners.  Gibbs' career has been hit and miss through injury.

22 Brian O'Callaghan
A product of the Reds Academy, Brian made the transition to the first team and was capped by the Republic of Ireland at U21 level.  Injury and poor form saw Brian left out of the side last term.

5 Chris Morgan
"Moggs" a Barnsley born lad who has come through the ranks at Oakwell.  He made his debut at West Ham in the Premier League and has matured into a useful defender already looked at by Premiership clubs.

16 Lee Crooks
Signed from Manchester City and was injured at the time.  Got back to full fitness and has featured in the first team at both centre-back and right-back.  Made 24 appearances last season.

13 Matthew Ghent
Matthew is a regular in the reserve team and Oakwell and will be hoping to push Andy Marriott for the No1 spot at some point this season.

22 David Mulligan
Last season's Young Player of the Year, having starred 27 times at right-back for the first team. Looks destined to make the right-back slot his own for years to come.  Has won international honours for New Zealand's youth teams.

6 Mike Flynn
Experienced centre-back signed from Stockport County.  Has the unfortunate mishap of being a player with two clubs that were relegated last season.  Not one for your CV!

30 James Dudgeon
Joined the club as a YTS in 1997. Progressed through the Academy as a centre-half.  Loaned out to Lincoln for six months of the 2000/01 campaign where he established himself as firm favourite with their fans.

28 Neil Austin
Another from the Academy system and hoping to make an impact in the first team this season after some great performances with the academy team and the reserves.
