| SAES received a visit from Gillian Vogelsang-Eastwood, the leading specialist on the textiles from the tomb of Tutankhamun (KV62). She has been working closely with the Egyptian Museum in Cairo and the Griffith Institute in Oxford to increase our understanding of this unique resource.
We flew Gillian in from Leiden together with her collection of facsimile clothes to present a fashon show and lecture about the textiles found in KV62.
Members of all ages lined up to model the clothes of the “boy king” in an event which was both highly informative and great fun.
