Our warm, comfortable hotel overlooks the beautiful Valley Gardens and is a five minute walk from the centre of Harrogate, with its many characterful shops and restaurants. We are lucky enough to have a wide variety of restaurants within walking distance, and would be pleased to make recommendations. The Conference and Exhibition Centres are a ten minute stroll away, making The Dales a convenient base for visiting business people and holidaymakers alike.

There are tennis, crazy golf and putting green facilities in the Valley Gardens just opposite the hotel, together with a children’s playground and delightful walks through the gardens and pine woods. The Hydro, Harrogate’s superb new swimming pool and fitness suite, is a five minute drive away and the lovely town of Knaresborough, with its castle perched high above the River Nidd, is a ten to fifteen minute drive.

Harrogate is a charming and convenient base from which to explore the Yorkshire Dales, and we will be happy to help with local information and recommendations of places to go and things to see.

If you are visiting without the use of a car, or perhaps just want a rest from driving, there is a coach firm at the bottom of the next road that runs many day trips to nearby places of interest at very reasonable rates. They also offer weekend and longer coach trips to all parts of England and the continent, making Harrogate a convenient base for visitors from overseas. We have copies of their itinerary available at the hotel.

We have three double, two twin and one family room available, all with fully en-suite facilities.

We also have two single rooms, each with en-suite shower and washbasin and sole use of a private toilet which is not, however, en-suite.

We have a licensed bar in the guests’ lounge, and hospitality trays with tea and coffee making facilities are provided in each bedroom. Each bedroom is also provided with luggage rack, colour television, radio alarm and hairdryer for our guests’ convenience. An ironing board and iron are available on request.

A hearty English breakfast is provided each morning, together with fruit juice, fruit and cereals available at the buffet table. If you have any special requests for breakfast, just ask – if we’ve got it, you can have it.

Children are welcome: we have baby changing facilities in one of our en-suite double rooms and a cot is available if required.
