The digs in Manchester are alright for cats. There is a large back garden, and a park around the corner. The only problem with the garden is that there are several cats vying for the territory already. They have a corner each that they ceremonially poo in every morning. I think that they might prove a little obstreperous, but they obviously have other territory to worry about, so they are not around very much - the choice is whether to get up in the morning and have a fight, or to let them go about their business in peace, and rule the garden for the rest of the day . I chose the latter... Saturdays and Wednesdays are a bit more of a problem though - the house is very close (on the same road) to the football ground. And the cricket ground. I suppose that the cricket crowd would be slightly more civilised, but during the football season, it is worth staying inside before and after matches, as drunk football fans aren't very cat friendly. Food in Manchester is a bit of a worry. You have to be careful of the people left-overs: Dan had a pizza from Perfect Pizza which arrived after much arguing with the pizza people and made him very ill indeed. Although he left half of it, I didn't fancy it much because it smelt as if they had invented a whole new concept in pizza toppings. And judging from the sounds that came from the toilet the next day, I was right. After that, he stuck to the vegetarian offering from Pizza Hut which was no good for us cats at all... |
