Caravan Manoeuvring Championship

 

Aims & Rules

Aims & Rules governing the CMC:   

           

1.To test and demonstrate the roadworthiness of a Caravan on tow and its manoeuvrability on site in a competitive environment.

2. To encourage developments, making for still greater roadworthiness and manoeuvrability.

3. To test the proficiency of participants in the handling of car and caravan within competitive conditions.

4. To provide recreational pleasure for the Members of the CMC., in company with fellow enthusiasts of The Caravan Club.

5. To create publicity beneficial to the caravan movement and provide further opportunities to develop the spirit of friendly competition between Members.

             

Championship Rules:

1.The championship is open to Full and Family Members of The Caravan Club only. Members must stay at least one night on site in a caravan.

2. Competitors must abide by the G.S.R's of The Caravan Club and also any S.R's and any A.S.R's issued by the organising

Centre or Body at competition rallies.

3. An enrolment fee must be paid annually, to qualify to compete in the Championship. The fee will be determined at the A.G.M. for the season ahead.

4. The Championship will be a league of three divisions, Div. 1, Div. 2, Div. 3. Division 1 will be limited to 12 entrants. There will be an adjustment at the end of each season with bottom two of Div.1 going down to Div.2 and top two from Div.2 going up to Div 1. Top two from Div.3 will go up to Div. 2 with none going down from Div.2. Each Division will have a Winner and Runner Up trophy awarded, with replica's, at the end of the season. Subject to Membership numbers.

5. The system of points for each competition will be as follows:- 15, 12, 10, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 point, for the first ten in each division.

6. For scoring purposes, only the Final Official Results from each Centre will be accepted and used to formulate the Championship tables.

7. The results of 50% of the events Calendar plus one, will count towards the championship in each division. In the event of a odd number of events it will be 50% plus half.

8. Where a tie occurs, the highest number of 1st and 2nd Placing will determine the Winner. If this system still results in a tie, then it will go down the order until a result is found, if a further tie is found then joint winners will be declared.

9. All members of the C.M.C. will respect and support any Sponsorship of the Championship and Will Uphold the Spirit of Rallying at all competition events.
