 2. Memorial Fund and Scholarship:

The Memorial Fund: http://freespace.virgin.net/darrin.evans/hjemf.htm, with Charitable Status, has been set up in the memory of Professor H. J. Eysenck, for a Postgraduate Research Scholarship in the field of Personality and Individual Differences.

The Scholarship: http://freespace.virgin.net/darrin.evans/hjeschol.htm, is an annual award intended to supplement on-going funded research and is open to any researcher, in any part of the world, who is working in the area of Personality and Individual Differences.

4th Annual Scholarship (2003): Application details are on the web site.

Applications must be received by the 31st January 2003, and the successful candidate will be notified by the 1st May 2003.

  

3. Exhibitions and Science Museum:

Eysenck's authored books and memorabilia, an exhibition in Stafford where there is H.J. Eysenck's entire book collection and an exhibition in London at the Science Museum.

Science Museum: http://freespace.virgin.net/darrin.evans/hjescmus.htm, gives details of "Mind your Head? 100 years of psychology in Britain", which opened in January 2001. It can be found on the 4th floor of the Science Museum in the Lower Wellcome Gallery for the History of Medicine.

Part of the exhibition is the Bio-signal Laboratory, set up at the Bethlem Royal Hospital in London by Hans Eysenck to investigate his theories of personality and consisting of over 200 separate items.

5. Symposia and Visionary Psychologist:

Eysenck", in America in 1998 entitled "APA Presidents Remember Hans Eysenck - Visionary Psychologist" and in Canada in 1998 entitled "In Honour of H.J. Eysenck's contribution to Psychology".

Visionary Psychologist: http://freespace.virgin.net/darrin.evans/apapres.htm, gives details of the 1998 Annual Convention of the American Psychological Association in San Francisco where a session memorializing the late Hans J. Eysenck was presented.

Organised and moderated by then Division One President Frank Farley, it involved some past APA Presidents familiar with the man and his work: Frank Farley, Nicholas Cummings, Martin Seligman and Charles Spielberger. This is a slightly edited/revised version of that session.
